Founder and CEO
Toni Elhoms is an internationally known speaker and recognized subject matter expert on medical practice management, coding, reimbursement, revenue cycle management, compliance, and fee analysis. She is the Founder and CEO of Alpha Coding Experts, LLC (ACE). She holds multiple credentials with the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) and the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC). Ms. Elhoms' expertise extends to both inpatient and outpatient coding, compliance, billing, and reimbursement. She has extensive experience in orthopedic surgery, spine surgery, neurosurgery, cardiology, interventional cardiology, general surgery, oncology, hematology, internal medicine, family practice, geriatrics, pediatrics, pain management, neurology, urology, hospital medicine, critical care, and other practice areas.
Ms. Elhoms serves as ACE’s Senior Consultant and conducts training and educational seminars across the country on a variety of topics including, but not limited to, Medical Coding, Medical Billing, Practice Management, Managed Care, Revenue Cycle Management, Revenue Maximization, Regulatory Compliance, The Social Determinants of Health (SDoH), ICD-10-CM and PCS, Surgical Specialty Coding, etc.
With well over a decade of industry experience, Ms. Elhoms has led and supported hospital systems, universities, physician practices, payers, law firms, government agencies, and other entities on coding, billing, and compliance initiatives. Ms. Elhoms is a frequent contributor to various media outlets, highly sought-after conference speaker, and regular guest on industry podcasts. Ms. Elhoms frequently serves as an expert and consulting witness in litigation matters.
Ms. Elhoms was appointed as an editorial advisory board (EAB) member for The Coding Institute (TCI) in 2020. She created and regularly hosts the Alpha Coding Podcast series (rated a top industry podcast) to share her industry Pro-Tips. She also co-hosts the Coding Consultant Confessions (CCC) Podcast series. She is a regular volunteer and mentors a network of Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) and Health Information Management (HIM) professionals across the United States. She proudly served as the 2020 and 2021 elected President of the Orlando, FL AAPC Chapter. She is also an active member of the Florida Health Information Management Association (FHIMA).
Ms. Elhoms is a wife and mother of 3 beautiful children. She enjoys reading, biking, playing poker, and beach trips with her family.
Chafik Elhoms, B.S.

Mr. Elhoms provides a wealth of legal and financial expertise to Alpha Coding Experts. He holds a Bachelor's degree in International Law and Economics from the University of Hassan II, where he graduated summa cum laude. He matriculated at the prestigious French academy of Cote d'azur France, where he studied international and contract law. He fluently speaks 5 languages: English, French, Arabic, Spanish, and Italian.
With over 25 years of business experience, he leads all legal, contract, and financial initiatives of the firm. Along with his vision of global strategy and expansion, Chafik also directs the sales force and oversees the Compliance and I.T. departments.
Chafik is a regular volunteer in the community and enjoys spending time with his wife and 3 beautiful children. He also enjoys traveling, fishing, and soccer.
Alex Grainger has been certified with the AAPC as a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) since 2019. Alex joined the team in 2021 and primarily supports ACE’s case onboarding, case management, and administrative support functions. Alex regularly conducts coding and billing reviews for various medical specialties including Orthopedics, Sports Medicine, Interventional Pain Management, Neurology, Primary Care, etc.
Alex is the current Chapter President of the Orlando, Florida AAPC Chapter. She previously served as the Chapter’s Member Development Officer from 2020-2021. She continues to develop her leadership skills and is excited to mentor others to success.
Afaf Elhoms joined the ACE team in 2022 and primarily supports client onboarding, case management, and administrative support functions. With over 15 years of experience in executive assistant and advisory support positions, combined with a proven track record of strong performance in high-volume, high-pressure environments, Afaf diligently manages administrative duties and client relations at ACE.
As Executive Assistant to ACE, she ensures the smooth operation of our consulting firm with her robust knowledge of operations, firm management, and efficient handling of client inquiries, consultations, and scheduling timely access to our team of subject matter experts. Afaf holds a masters degree in financial management and is fluent in 4 languages: English, Arabic, French, and Spanish.
